Operations Director, Rayfast UK
Role Summary
This role is part of the UK senior leadership team and responsible for the operations for all UK sites that form part of the Interconnect Solutions Group.
The role will develop UK operations capabilities to achieve excellence in customer service and profitable growth.
Core KPI’s: Operating Income, Gross Margin, Working Capital, OTD, Talent Development, DVR and Customer Satisfaction.

Location & Travel
Swindon, UK. Travel primarily within UK with occasional travel internationally.
Authority
The Operations Director will have direct line responsibility for the quality control, health & safety, purchasing / supply chain, warehouse and manufacturing departments for all UK group operations. The role will also play a leading role in designing the group’s strategic operational roadmap.

Main Duties
- Provision of technical product support to Internal & External front-line Sales staff.
- Technical product support to customers across all enquiry platforms.
- Ongoing project support to Business Development & KAM teams.
- Delivery of Technical product training program to all relevant staff.
- Focal point for all customer/Sales customised product requests.
- Provision of information to Sales teams to enable customer quotations to be raised.
- Preparation & delivery of in-house training material for all new product introductions and new supplier franchises.
- Development of specific product specialism(s), thereafter taking the lead in all instances of ongoing product support.
- Liaise with and support Quality dept in instances of customer-driven, technically-based product complaints and queries.
- Website – Support Marketing dept in all aspects of product web page publication and ongoing maintenance.
- Ongoing update & maintenance of the company Intranet technical resource data-base.
- Verification of customer & supplier specifications and drawings.
- Competitor analysis and product/part number cross referencing.
- Assist in the preparation & provision of ‘Sales Tools’ to Ext. Sales team.
- Assist Marketing with collation technical product data / proof reading of company promotional literature.
Experience
- An electrical/engineering background (ideally qualified to HND/ BTEC level, or proven industry experience).
- Ideally some electrical harnessing experience across multiple industry markets.
- Previous customer facing role, ideally with a technically-based, product specification focus.
- Continuous improvement oriented – has familiarity with lean and change management principles.
Other Useful Information
- This role is based in Swindon with three days in the office and two days at home subject to efficient working.
